I'm an upcoming psychology student that feels deeply about mental health. Being a young person and having dealt with issues myself, I'm very keen on doing whatever I can to help others and end the stigma around mental health.
WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU WERE TAUGHT AT SCHOOL ABOUT MENTAL WELLBEING AND WHY?
I wish schools helped students to understand and validate their feelings and emotions from a younger age. Understanding and loving yourself from a young age can help create a healthy base for good mental wellbeing in the future.
ANY ADVICE TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE READING THIS?
I like to have my alone time where I simply do whatever makes me feel lighter or happier, for example watching comfort shows. However, I've recently started going on evening walks and starting new hobbies like baking to keep myself more active.
